Ecosystem & Support
Michigan Built.
Space Driven.
Future Focused.
Michigan Space Technologies is proudly Michigan-first. Our preference is, and will remain, Michigan manufacturing, Michigan suppliers, Michigan workers, Michigan communities, Michigan universities, and Michigan-built aerospace capability whenever possible.
Michigan First
Rooted in the state that builds the future.
MiST was founded with a clear belief: Michigan should have a meaningful role in the next era of space access. The same state that helped put the world on wheels has the industrial base, engineering culture, skilled trades, defense ecosystem, mobility leadership, and manufacturing discipline to help build what comes next.
We are building around Michigan not because it is convenient, but because it is core to who we are. Our long-term goal is to keep as much of MiST’s development path as possible tied to Michigan companies, Michigan talent, Michigan communities, and Michigan’s future aerospace economy.

Building a Michigan gateway to space starts with respect.
Spaceport Michigan is MiST’s long-term vision for future aerospace infrastructure rooted in Michigan. The Upper Peninsula, K.I. Sawyer, Marquette County, and the surrounding region represent a compelling combination of aviation history, infrastructure, regional character, and long-term economic development potential.
Our approach is relationship-first. Any future aerospace or spaceport-related development in the Upper Peninsula must be pursued with respect for local communities, the environment, and the character of the region.
